What kind of support does Embers to Bloom offer?
We offer mentor support for everyday challenges, licensed therapy, substance use support, and peer recovery support. Depending on your needs, care may focus on coping skills, routines, relationships, school, work, emotional symptoms, recovery, or connecting with helpful resources.
Who can receive services?
We serve teens beginning at age 12 and adults who are based in Ohio. Our care team will confirm eligibility, insurance coverage, and which services may be appropriate before care begins.
How do I meet with my mentor or therapist?
Services are provided through telehealth by phone or secure video. This allows you to connect from home and makes support available throughout Ohio without traveling to an office.
How much time can I receive with my mentor?
There is not one set amount of time for everyone. The frequency and length of support are based on your assessed needs, goals, medical necessity, treatment plan, and any insurance authorization requirements. If you receive more than one service, such as mentoring and therapy, each service may have its own appointments and schedule. Your care team will explain what is recommended and review it with you as your needs change.
Can I receive mentoring and therapy at the same time?
Yes, when both services are appropriate for your needs. Mentoring and therapy serve different purposes, so your care team will help make sure each service has a clear role in supporting your goals.
Can I choose a specific mentor or therapist?
We want you to feel comfortable with the person supporting you. Matches are made according to your needs, preferences, clinical fit, and current availability, so we cannot guarantee a particular team member. If a match does not feel right, talk with our care team.
Are evening or weekend appointments available?
Availability varies by team member and service. Tell us the days and times that work best for you, and we will look for the closest available fit. Evening or weekend availability cannot be guaranteed.
Does Ohio Medicaid cover these services?
Many eligible services are covered by Ohio Medicaid and its managed-care plans. Coverage can depend on eligibility, the service, medical necessity, and authorization requirements. We verify benefits and explain what we know before services begin.
What happens after I ask for support?
Our care team will contact you, listen to what is going on, verify basic eligibility and coverage, and explain the next step. That may include an assessment, an intake appointment, or matching you with an available team member.
Can a family member, school, hospital, or provider refer someone?
Yes. Use the “I’m referring someone” pathway to send a secure referral. Please include both your contact information and the potential client’s best phone number so our care team can follow up appropriately.
Is Embers to Bloom an emergency or crisis service?
No. Our forms and routine services are not monitored as emergency resources. If someone may be in immediate danger, call 911. For crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.
